The producers will turn the last two episodes of THE FINAL CHAPTERS into a single movie. They will screen it in theaters. A press release announced that the new Attack on Titan movie will be called Attack on Titan: The Last Attack.
Dedicated fans are thrilled to finally see the popular series in theaters. In the press release, series Director Yuichiro Hayashi mentioned that he initially planned THE FINAL CHAPTERS as one movie.
Never watched or read AOT?
The hit anime titled Attack on Titan is set in a world where massive creatures known as ‘titans’ have destroyed everything.
We follow Eren Jaeger and the Survey Corps as they fight for survival on Paradis Island.
If you have not watched AOT this upcoming movie might be the sign to do so. Since they have not announced the international release yet, you’ll definitely have time to catch up. You will want to watch all seasons except THE FINAL CHAPTERS.

Is there a difference between the series and the movie?
Story-wise there will be no changes. The film will be continuing from the ending of Attack on Titan: The Final Season.
However, according to the press release there will be minor changes and updates. The film will feature 5.1 surround sound and improved visuals for a more immersive experience than the TV series.
Director Yuichiro Hayashi first made the storyboards for THE FINAL CHAPTERS as one complete movie. He intended for it to be watched as a single movie.
He expresses that everyone being able to watch it in a theater is a dream come true for him.

Have they announced the release date?
Yes, the movie already has a Japanese release date: November 8, 2024. Almost exactly a year after the ending of the anime series.
They have not announced an international release date. However, since it’s an extremely popular anime series, we can almost guarantee an international release
