Nominees for the Most In-Demand Anime Series in the World 2024
These finalists were determined by collected data from January 1 to October 31, 2024. However these finalists will be judged from data collected from the entire year.
Solo Leveling
Another franchise that had a great year. The hit manhwa coming from South Korea, got its anime adaptation this year, a video game, and an anime film. The second season is also releasing next 2025.
One Piece
Season 21 of the One Piece anime aired this year. However it was announced in October that it would be going on a hiatus until April 2025.
Demon Slayer
The Hashira Training arc aired this 2024. In my opinion it wasn’t as strong as the other arcs, but still good. This is the final arc before the ‘infinity castle’ arc that everyone is waiting for.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
A surprise contender this year I would say. The other four anime have had a major fanbase for a long time now. Frieren is also a lot more chill than the other anime here. I would categorize the other four anime as battle shonens. Freiren is more of an adventure slice of life.

For Frieren, I think this will win because a lot of non-anime fans have watched this. A couple family members who aren’t into anime heard about Frieren and decided to give it a shot. Maybe the popularity within the anime community plus some of the non-anime fans will give it t
