Best Winter 2025 Anime
Solo Leveling Season 2

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Finally, the awaited second season of Solo Leveling is almost here. The hit manhwa from South Korea got an anime series in 2024, and there is an upcoming anime film in 2025. Check out our article of Solo Leveling: ReAwakening here.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2

Genre: Action, Comedy, Drama
It has been four years since the first season of Toilet-bound Kanako-kun. Fans of the series have been eagerly waiting, as there have been short episodes released in between.
The story follows Nene Yashiro who goes to Kamome Academy. A school famous for rumors of the supernatural. Nene wants a boyfriend, so she summons Hanako-san of the Toilet. A famous Japanese urban legend of a girl who haunts restrooms.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2
1st Episode Release Date: January 10, 2025
Genre: Drama, Mystery
A surprising hit from 2024, not many fans were aware of the manga and light novel. Check out our article on season 2 here.
SAKAMOTO DAYS
1st Episode Release Date: January 11, 2025
Genre: Action, Comedy
In a season of a lot of romance anime this anime is what I’m looking forward to the most. I’ve done a review/reaction of the first manga chapter here. The story looks fun, just like DANDADAN of this Fall 2024 season. I think this will cover the hole that DANDADAN Season 2 created for most anime fans.
Honey Lemon Soda
1st Episode Release Date: January 8, 2025
Genre: Romance
A romance manga that received an anime adaptation. The story follows a shy girl nicknamed ‘stone’ by her peers. When she enters high school she meets a boy who reminds her of ‘honey lemon soda’. Their unlikely pairing leads ‘stone’ to becoming more confident in herself.
I tried reading the manga, but the art style wasn’t for me. The trailer looks great though, so I will be keeping my eye on this anime.
ZENSHU
1st Episode Release Date: January 5, 2025
Genre: Romance, Comedy
This is an anime original by MAPPA. The animation studio that has done hit anime such as Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen.
The story follows Natsuko HIrose, an up and coming animator. She is a shut-in, however her first anime that she produces becomes a hit! She gets the chance to at a new anime project but its her least favorite genre a romance comedy.Natsuko passes away from exhaustion and wakes up in the anime world that led her to become an animator.
It is labled as a romance comedy but seems like this is an isekai of some sort? I don’t understand the premise, but the trailer looks interesting.
Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms
1st Episode Release Date: January 7, 2025
Genre: Romance, Comedy
This manga is pretty well-known in the manga community. It follows Mona, the queen of her high school. She’s well known for her good looks and every guy falls for her. Every guy but Medaka Kuroiwa, a new transfer student.
She makes it her mission to make him fall for her. However there are other girls that want to do the same.
I personally am reading this manga. I think it is pretty funny and has some wholesome moments. It has a lot of fan service though, so if you are not into that this might be one to skip.
Dr. Stone SCIENCE FUTURE
1st Episode Release Date: January 9, 2025
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
This will be season 4 part 1 of Dr. Stone. Reportedly there will be three parts.
I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class
1st Episode Release Date: January 3, 2025
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Originally a YouTube manga released in 2020. It turned into a light novel and manga, now there is an anime adaptation. Aniplex will produce the adaptation and Hiroyuki Oshima will direct it.
The story follows Akane and Saito, two classmates who despise each other. In an ‘unlikely’ turn of events they marry. Will the two rivals learn to love each other?
Übel Blatt
1st Episode Release Date: January 11, 2025
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama
A manga that released in 2004 which ended recently in 2019 has gotten an adaptation. It follows Koinzell a half-human who is looking to take revenge against those who betrayed him.
I have never heard of this manga, but I like a good revenge story. The trailer animation doesn’t look the best, however I will still give this a shot.
Consider Watching These Winter 2025 Anime
Are these going to be the best winter anime 2025? Obviously we can’t tell just yet, however the stand outs for this list are SAKAMOTO DAYS and ZENSHU. In a season with a lot of romance, these two look like the favourites for me. I can’t tell yet if ZENSHU is a romance-comedy as they labeled it to be.
