My Thoughts
I haven’t read any chapters of this manga yet. I only know of it because of its popularity in the manga community.
As mentioned there have been a lot of shonen anime adaptation recently. DAN DA DAN being a successful one this Fall 2024 season. I’m personally a fan of shonen anime, my favorite being Hunter x Hunter.
I’ll read chapter one of the manga, and I’ll give some initial thoughts on it.
Chapter 1 Initial Thoughts
After reading Chapter 1 of the manga here are some thoughts:
- I like the art style of Yuto Suzuki. It kind of reminds me of Kindergarten Wars, if anyone has read that. It kind of has the same vibes as it as well, a silly action manga.
- The story is interesting as well. This kind of story of a retired hitman isn’t original. Manga like Way of the Househusband comes to mind. The anime adaptation wasn’t that good, it was a glorified visual novel at best.
- I think if TMS Entertainment can translate the manga panels into animation it will do well. Looking at the SAKAMOTO DAYS official Trailer, it looks great and will translate well.
- After reading Chapter one for the first time, I will probably try and catch up with the rest of the chapters. The manga has around 190 chapters as of November 18, 2024. There will most likely be a season two and maybe even season three of the anime.
